EDGE
EDGE, an initiative by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a constituent of the World Bank Group, represents a pioneering green building certification program. It is meticulously structured to facilitate building proprietors and developers in the seamless realization and certification of resource-efficient and carbon-neutral edifices.
A noteworthy advantage of EDGE certification lies in its accessibility and affordability, rendering it particularly accommodating for modest-scale building endeavors. The certification procedure is meticulously streamlined, further augmented by the intuitive user interface offered by the EDGE software tool, which simplifies the design and certification process for buildings.
Our Services
EDGE EXPERT
An EDGE Expert is a professional who helps a developer, owner and larger project team understand the EDGE standard, software and certification system. The scope of the EDGE Expert’s work includes advice on green design and assistance with preparation of an application for EDGE certification.
Hiring an EDGE Expert depends on the client’s needs and the complexity of the project. EDGE is intended to be quick and intuitive, but if the client’s internal team doesn’t have familiarity with EDGE, then having a member of the design team take the EDGE training may be the right choice.
EDGE AUDITOR
EDGE Auditors assess whether a building meets the requirements of the EDGE standard by investigation and evaluation of objective evidence. An EDGE Auditor reviews project documentation (design audit) and visits the project site (site audit) before making a certification recommendation to the certification partner.
EDGE Auditors must be independent of the developer/owner/project team of the project they audit.
EDGE ZERO CARBON
EDGE Zero Carbon certification offers clients the opportunity to certify their projects as carbon neutral.
EDGE Zero Carbon certification offers clients the opportunity to certify their projects as carbon neutral. A minimum of 20 percent savings in water and embodied energy are required, with 40 percent energy savings on-site, and 100 percent energy savings achieved either through renewables or carbon offsets.
Our Consultant will work side-by-side with the client until the issuance of EDGE Zero Carbon certification.
