Internship in Green Building Certification

Job Title: Green Building Intern

Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Program Duration: 3 months, with a potential extension of up to 6 months.

Reporting Location: Sustainahaus’ Office at Plaza Sentral, Karet Sudirman, South Jakarta.

Working Arrangement: 2-3 days Work from Office, 2-3 days Work from Home

POSITION PURPOSE  

Under the general supervision of the Green Building consultants, the Green Building Intern will support the Green Building services team primarily in supporting the Consultants with analyzing, calculating, and providing reports on the Green Building certification projects. The intern will have an opportunity to experience the role of Green Building consultants in assisting our clients to achieve prestigious green building certifications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  

  • Provide analytical calculations to the Green Building team to achieve Greenship, EDGE, LEED, and other certification rating tools as needed.   

  • Attend project meetings and take detailed meeting notes. 

  • Keep project documentation and files organized in Onedrive.

  • Assist with other certification tasks and high-quality deliverables to meet deadlines.  

  • Conduct building energy simulations, if needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Building Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or Civil Engineering. Master’s degree is preferred.

  • Knowledge/experience of green building rating tools: Greenship, EDGE, LEED, and other certifications.

  • Familiarity with energy simulations like IES VE, Energy Plus, etc. is a plus.

  • Must be based in the Greater Jakarta area.

  • Passion for sustainability and green buildings.

  • A self-motivator with a strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Autocad and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to effectively work with a team.

  • Detail-oriented mindset.
